OUR TOP FUNDRAISING SUCCESS TIPS!
The biggest challenge for you will be on deciding on what fantastic event you want to plan, we encourage you to be as creative as possible! Here at Thin Blue Line UK, the most important thing to us is whatever you decide to do, you have lots of fun and enjoy fundraising for us!

1. MAKE A GOOD EVENT PLAN
Decide on what event you are wanting to do. Set a date, funding target, consider writing and sharing a story around why you are fundraising (look at our 'About Us' page for inspiration). Get other people involved to help you and consider what things you need.
2. CONSIDER HOW TO FUNDRAISE
For in person events consider ways to keep your money safe. For virtual events create an online donation page through "Just Giving" or "Facebook Fundraiser", to kickstart your fundraising. People can give you donations online and send you supportive messages.
3. SPREAD THE WORD
Publicise your event by creating posters and through social media, remember to share, share, share! For big events we can assist on our News & Socials too. Don't forget the power of loved one, message them, many who can't be there may still want to donate.
4. HAVE FUN & KEEP US UPDATED
The day is here! Remember have lots of fun, you deserve it! Take lots of photos during your event and share them with us. Let us know how it went, we love being told! If you need some advice on how to send us your funds, please get in touch so we can help.

Set up a Facebook Fundraiser
Create a Facebook Fundraiser to allow people to donate safely and directly to your event via Facebook; without going through any third party websites. Useful for any virtual events you may want to hold. This is free, no fees are taken by Facebook, with Thin Blue Line UK receiving all raised funds.
Set up a Just Giving Page
Create a Just Giving page for your event, to fundraise for Thin Blue Line UK. This site is classed as the world's most trusted platform for online giving. Useful to set up for any virtual events you may want to hold. Just Giving do charge a payment processing fee of 1.9% + 20p on any donation.
