1. Overview:

These terms and conditions shall apply to all transactions conducted via the Thin Blue Line UK charity website (Registration Number 1184042). Please read them carefully before placing your order and print a copy for future reference.


In these terms and conditions:

  • “you”, “your” and “yourself” refer to any person accessing or using this website, including individuals fundraising for Thin Blue Line UK;
  • “we”, “us”, “our” refer to Thin Blue Line UK (Registered Charity No. 1184042), Thin Blue Line UK, c/o The Mortgage Hut, Ground Floor Office, Seafarers Court, 12–14 Queens Terrace, Southampton, SO14 3AS;
  • “website” means https://www.thinbluelineuk.org.uk and all associated pages.



2. Changes to These Terms:


We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will apply to orders placed after the updated version is published.



3. Placing Orders:


  • Orders must be placed through our website checkout process;
  • It is your responsibility to ensure all details are accurate before confirming your order;
  • All orders are subject to acceptance by us;
  • We may refuse or cancel an order at our discretion (e.g. stock issues, pricing errors). If this happens, you will receive a full refund.



4. Prices and Payment:


All prices are in GBP (£).


Payment must be made in full at checkout via:

  • Credit/debit card;
  • PayPal;
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay.
  • Currency conversions may vary depending on your provider.


We take reasonable care to ensure pricing is accurate, but errors may occur. If a pricing error is identified:

  • We will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed;
  • If we cannot contact you, the order will be cancelled and refunded in full.



5. Delivery:


  • UK and EU orders: normally within 30 days;
  • International orders: normally within 60 days;
  • If delays occur, we will contact you and offer the option to cancel.


Postage costs are shown at checkout.



6. Availability and Substitutions:


All products are subject to availability.


If a product is unavailable:

  • We may offer a substitute of equal or greater quality and value;
  • You may reject substitute goods and receive a full refund.



7. Right to Cancel (Consumer Rights):


Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods.


To cancel:

  • Email: admin@thinbluelineuk.org.uk ;
  • Include your name and order number.


Returns:

  • Goods must be returned in good condition;
  • You are responsible for return postage (unless faulty).


Refunds:

  • Issued within 14 days of receiving returned goods;
  • Includes standard delivery costs (where applicable).



8. Faulty or Damaged Goods:


If goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described:

  • Contact us within 30 days of delivery;
  • We will offer repair, replacement, or refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015;
  • We will cover return costs for faulty goods.



9. Digital Products:


For digital downloads:

  • By accessing the download, you agree to waive your 14-day cancellation right;
  • This is in accordance with UK digital content regulations.



10. Product Descriptions:


We aim to ensure descriptions, images, and measurements are accurate.


However:

Sizes and colours may vary slightly;

Specifications may change.



11. Data Protection and Privacy:


We process personal data in accordance with UK data protection law.

12. Data Protection Complaints (DUAA Requirement):


Under UK data protection law, you have the right to raise concerns about how we handle your personal data directly with us.


How to make a complaint:

You can submit a complaint by email: admin@thinbluelineuk.org.uk .


Our process, we will:

  • Acknowledge your complaint within 30 days;
  • Investigate the issue appropriately;
  • Keep you informed of progress;
  • Provide a response and outcome without undue delay;
  • If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate your complaint to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).



13. Security:


We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.

Payments are securely processed by trusted providers including Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.



14. Liability:


Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • Any rights you have under UK consumer law.


To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses



15. Website Use:


We do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
You are responsible for ensuring your device and systems are secure when using our website.



16. Complaints (General):

We aim to resolve all complaints fairly and promptly. You may also access Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services if you are not satisfied.



17. Governing Law:


These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.



18. General:


  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us;
  • If any part is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force;
  • Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
