Our long standing partnership with Thin Blue Line Denmark is one of our most cherished here at Thin Blue Line UK. We work closely with our friends in Denmark throughout the year and from this close working relationship we are able to annually fund for several officers to attend their Police Week in Europe. The officers who we fund here at Thin Blue Line UK have often dealt with extreme incidents of trauma or extra ordinary incidents, but it allows them to join like-minded individuals for a week where relationships are created, friendships strengthened, and officers create memories which they’ll take away in their hearts forever. We also enjoy welcoming our friends from Thin Blue Denmark to our annual Gala Ball as our friends come to help support our charity and raise funds so we can continue our vital work.

We are proud of the difference this key partnership makes to the lives of officers who attend the Police Week event.

Below is a quote from an anonymous officer who recently visited and we feel this explains exactly why we are here to support the officers who work hard to protect the thin blue line...

“I honestly don't know where to begin with my time in Denmark. Truly, speechless. I can quite truthfully say that thanks to you, you’ve given me a new lease of life. Mentally I'm battling some real demons, and a week or two before I left for Denmark I said to my therapist and welfare officer confidentially, that after 7 months of returning to work, after my injuries, I'm on the brink of going off sick, to cope. Apart from my injury on duty, I've never gone off sick. But the timing, the people, the environment, the weather, the things arranged for us, the bonds we formed together, all made me find this new sense of life. I especially experienced this amazing feeling of enlightenment, love and strength through 'Innercise', the sauna and ice bath day we had. It was the most unreal healing experience. But enough of all that, I wanted to say that this is all thanks to you. I've thanked the TBL Denmark team over and over, almost to the point of tears (as various were shed by many of us during the week). I spent the week forming bonds with everyone I encountered, and it made me realise I'm not alone in my battles” .
