The trustees of Thin Blue Line UK would like to express their deepest and most heartfelt thanks to the family, friends, and colleagues of Sergeant Trev Pearton for raising an incredible £3,542 in his memory and generously donating the amount to the charity. Trev passed away suddenly in August 2025. He had served as a police officer with Devon and Cornwall Police and is deeply missed by officers and staff across the force. The family initially set a target of £500 but were overwhelmed by the generosity of those who donated, including a local primary school that carried out a number of fundraising activities to help raise funds. Jack, a Trustee of Thin Blue Line UK explained how touched the charity was from this donation... " We know that the amount raised is a powerful testament to how loved Trev was by all who knew him. We are always touched when people make the decision to raise money for our charity. We are incredibly grateful to Trev's family, friends, and colleagues for raising such an incredible amount, which will enable us to continue supporting police officers in their mental health and wellbeing across the United Kingdom ". We end this article with some beautiful words shared with us by his daughter, Bryony. From all of us here at TBLUK, thank you so much, Bryony, for your kindness and generosity, and that of your family, in nominating and supporting our charity in memory of your wonderful dad. Your donation will make a huge difference to the lives of officers who reach out to us in need of help and support. “ On Thursday the 21st of August in the early hours of the morning, our best Daddy and Trev died very suddenly and unexpectedly at home. He leaves behind a lovely wife, three beautiful children and two lovely son-in laws. He was a lover of his family, a good cheese, coffee and cake, his beloved motorbike and telling a good story or a bad joke. For 18 years he was an absolutely amazing, devoted and passionate police officer covering a huge patch in South East Cornwall. He tutored many student officers in his later years to be confident, competent young officers and he leaves behind a legacy of humour, hardworking and friendship. He is also the legendary Tragocop in Trago Mills, which he wouldn’t let us forget, being somewhat of a local celebrity! He retired only 2 years ago and continued to tell all the hilarious and sometimes harrowing stories every day. He was so proud to be able to help people every day. We are forever proud to call him Trev/Dad. He suffered a fair few physical scrapes in his time policing, but also suffered massively with the mental load of his work and some of the things he had seen and dealt with. This is why we know he would appreciate his friends and family donating to Thin Blue Line UK to help support his fellow officers and their families. Our little Pearton gang wants to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that donated. We are so proud to have raised a massive £3,542 in only a couple of months. This is a testament to what an amazing man Dad is, and we are so grateful for all the thoughtful family members, friends and colleagues who have given to this brilliant charity supporting officers in need. The link to our donation page is still open until February for anyone who may still wish to donate ”. You can still donate in memory of Trev by clicking HERE .
Thin Blue Line UK Donation

Thin Blue Line UK is delighted to say a huge thank you to Bournemouth International and Neurodiverse Friends for their incredible support and donation of £312.17. Although not a formal organisation or charity, Bournemouth International and Neurodiverse Friends is a passionate group of volunteers who dedicate their time to supporting those who feel isolated or simply need someone to talk to. Their outreach, especially within the academic community, is driven entirely by faith and conviction, with no financial overheads, just a commitment to making a difference. This month, the group chose to collect donations for Thin Blue Line UK , combining contributions from their supporters with a surplus fund. Their decision to support us stems from a meaningful encounter in November 2022, when they met a police officer at a Community Contact Point in Bournemouth Town Centre. During that conversation, the officer shared his personal struggle: his daughter had recently been diagnosed with autism and was being referred to a SEN school. The uncertainty had taken a toll on his family’s mental health. Through sharing stories and offering reassurance, Bournemouth International and Neurodiverse Friends gave that officer hope—hope that his daughter could thrive and succeed despite her diagnosis. That moment of connection inspired their ongoing commitment to raising awareness and supporting the policing community. Jack Woodward, one of the Trustees of Thin Blue Line UK , said “ Receiving donations from groups such as Bournemouth International and Neurodiverse Friends is so important, as they enable our charity to continue providing mental health and wellbeing support to officers right across the UK. Within the last year, we have enabled opportunities for officers to attend wellbeing retreats, participate in International Police Week in Denmark, and we have signposted officers almost daily to online therapy support, which is fully funded by the charity via THRIVE. As a charity, we would like to thank Dr Andrew Rogers and all of the volunteers from Bournemouth International and Neurodiverse Friends for their kindness and generosity towards Thin Blue Line UK in supporting officers throughout the UK ”. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and the spirit of compassion that drives their work. Donations like these help Thin Blue Line UK continue its mission to support the mental health and wellbeing of those who serve and protect. Thank you, Bournemouth International and Neurodiverse Friends, for helping us to make a real difference.
