Oscar Kilo 2026 Brings Together Policing and Wellbeing Experts from Across the UK

Thin Blue Line UK Trustees Tony and Andrea attended the Oscar Kilo 2026 Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, held on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th  October 2026 at Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa in Cheshire, joining policing leaders, wellbeing professionals and charities from across the United Kingdom to discuss and advance officer wellbeing.

The annual conference provided an invaluable opportunity for the charity to engage with key stakeholders from across policing, share the work of Thin Blue Line UK, and highlight the ways in which the charity continues to support the mental health and wellbeing of serving and retired police officers nationwide.

Tony a Trustee of Thin Blue Line UK "The Oscar Kilo Conference is becoming a key event in the policing wellbeing calendar. It was fantastic to meet with colleagues from across the UK who share the same passion for supporting officers and staff. We were proud to showcase the work Thin Blue Line UK is delivering and contribute to discussions around practical wellbeing support, particularly the positive impact our wellbeing retreats have had on officers who have attended them".

A key focus of the conference was recognising wellbeing as an operational and strategic priority within policing. Through a series of keynote presentations, breakout sessions and collaborative discussions, delegates explored evidence-based approaches to supporting officers and staff, national wellbeing strategies, and emerging insights aimed at improving workforce wellbeing across UK police forces.

The event also showcased innovative wellbeing initiatives being delivered throughout policing, culminating in the Oscar Kilo Awards Gala Dinner, attended by Andrea which celebrated creative, compassionate and impactful projects that are making a real difference to officers and staff across the country. In addition, the conference brought together occupational health professionals, counsellors, psychologists, peer support practitioners and OK9 wellbeing dog handlers, creating dedicated opportunities for collaboration, networking and the sharing of best practice.

For Thin Blue Line UK, the conference represented an important chance to build upon its established relationship with Oscar Kilo and further contribute to the national conversation around officer wellbeing. Over recent years, the charity has worked closely with Oscar Kilo by sharing learning and insight gained through its wellbeing retreats. These retreats have provided officers with opportunities to focus on their mental health and wellbeing in supportive environments, and the lessons learned have helped inform wider discussions around retreat-based wellbeing interventions across UK policing.

Andrea a Trustee of Thin Blue Line UK added "One of the greatest strengths of the conference is its ability to bring people together to share ideas, experiences and solutions. The opportunity to network with charities, wellbeing specialists and policing leaders helps ensure that successful initiatives can be developed and expanded. It was particularly rewarding to continue our collaboration with Oscar Kilo and share learning from our retreats that can help shape wellbeing provision for officers across the United Kingdom".

As Thin Blue Line UK continues its mission to support police officers with their mental health and wellbeing, the charity remains committed to working alongside national policing partners, sharing best practice and contributing to initiatives that help create healthier and more resilient policing communities.

Thin Blue Line UK would like to thank Oscar Kilo for hosting another successful conference and for its continued commitment to supporting the wellbeing of those who serve in policing throughout the United Kingdom.
