Community spirit and determination drive vital fundraising for police wellbeing

A dedicated group of walkers from the K9 Coffee Club have successfully raised £935 for Thin Blue Line UK after completing the challenging Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday 16th May 2026.
Led by Lauren, who runs the wellbeing-focused walking group, the team took on the demanding route with determination, raising vital funds to support the mental health and wellbeing of police officers and staff. The K9 Coffee Club, known for bringing together members of the policing community through connection, fresh air, and their four‑legged companions, once again demonstrated the power of community and shared purpose.
Participants described the challenge as not only physically rewarding, but also filled with moments of genuine joy. The day was marked by laughter, camaraderie, and a strong sense of togetherness, with everyone involved embracing the spirit of the event while creating lasting memories along the way.
Originally setting out with a fundraising target of £500, the group surpassed expectations, smashing this and reaching an impressive £935. The funds raised will go directly towards supporting initiatives that provide essential mental health resources for those serving within policing, a cause that relies heavily on public support and charitable contributions.
Jack a Trustee of
Thin Blue Line UK said “We are incredibly grateful to Lauren and everyone at the K9 Coffee Club for their commitment, passion, and the positive impact they are making on officers and staff across the country. It has been an absolute pleasure supporting Lauren and the group throughout their fundraising journey, they’ve kept in touch every step of the way, and their dedication has truly shone through. As a charity that receives no government funding, initiatives like the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge are vital in enabling us to continue supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting others”.
The achievement comes as communities across the UK enjoy the May Bank Holiday weekend. All Thin Blue Line UK charity supporters and followers have been encouraged to take time to relax and recharge, while also recognising those who continue to work through the holiday period. Special thanks have been extended to frontline officers and police staff who remain on duty, maintaining public safety and upholding the Thin Blue Line during what can often be the busiest of times.
The success of the K9 Coffee Club’s fundraising effort highlights the importance of community-driven initiatives in supporting mental health within the policing family. Through determination, teamwork, and a shared commitment to making a difference, the group has set a powerful example of how small actions can create meaningful change.
Further support for the cause remains open, with donations continuing to be welcomed to help provide ongoing assistance to police officers and staff in need.
