Thin Blue Line UK is celebrating the incredible efforts of Annie and the team from Neath CID/CSI, South Wales Police, who recently took on the Swansea Half Marathon to raise vital funds for the charity.

The team set out with a target of £1000 but went above and beyond, raising an astonishing £2000. This funding will directly support police officers across the UK with their mental health and wellbeing, a cause at the very heart of Thin Blue Line UK’s mission.

Speaking after the event, Annie said “I am so proud of all of my colleagues who trained so hard for this challenge. Together, we have collectively raised vital funding for Thin Blue Line UK, and it’s amazing to know the difference this will make to officers who need support”.

As a charity, Thin Blue Line UK receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of fundraisers to continue its essential work.

Bev a trustee of Thin Blue Line UK expressed her gratitude to the South Wales Police team, saying “We are truly reliant on donations such as this incredibly generous contribution from Annie and her colleagues at Neath CID/CSI. Support like this enables us to help a growing number of police officers who are reaching out for assistance with their mental wellbeing, which can so often impact their physical health too. We are deeply grateful to the team for their dedication, and the tangible difference their fundraising will make to the policing community we serve”.
